We have developed our Maths curriculum by introducing and incorporating Maths Makes Sense throughout the school. Maths is important and through this thorough programme children are taught the skills of numeracy, measuring and drawing that can be used in everyday life. They are also given access to thinking and reasoning skills that are vital in day-to-day life. Maths Makes Sense allows children to access the abstract concepts of maths. It uses a dynamic cycle of instruction and assessment to deliver a comprehensive learning model. During Maths Makes Sense lessons children are fully engaged and active in Maths enjoying and comprehending their learning.
